Close the loop between assessment and fix.
Retest turns a previous RedTalon report into a restricted verification run. It focuses on the imported findings instead of starting another broad assessment.

Import the previous full-report Markdown.
RedTalon loads the original report and its findings, then derives the retest targets from those records. Additional targets, source inputs, API documents and new-finding reporting are disabled for the restricted run.

Untested → Remediated or Outstanding.
Every imported finding begins Untested. Verification classifies it as Remediated only when the original issue can no longer be reproduced and the corrective control is shown to be effective. Partial, inconclusive or blocked verification remains Outstanding.

Preserve the original; append what changed.
Original report and finding text is not rewritten. The final report retains the finding order and appends a retest summary plus fresh verification evidence and an assessment for each finding.
